These Bolts Didn't Fit My Tacoma Trailhunter — Here's the Fix

The SXTH Element bracket worked well on my 2025 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter, and this follow-up covers the ARB/Trailhunter/TRD Pro-specific hardware update that completed the factory ARB recovery-point installation.

In this follow-up, I show why the original ARB bolts were slightly short after the bracket was added, why the first longer bolts needed matching nuts, how I documented the complete hardware stack for SXTH Element, and how their final matched bolt-and-nyloc set completed the installation.

This is the bolt update I promised.

The bracket allows Tacoma owners to keep the convenience of the factory bed step while retaining the factory recovery equipment. This follow-up also shows the value of a transparent creator-manufacturer collaboration built around real-world installation footage and application-specific product support.

In this video:
• The unpublished original hardware test-fit
• Why the original bolt did not properly accommodate my Trailhunter setup
• Original versus updated hardware
• SXTH Element’s response
• Updated installation footage
• Final bed-step operation and fit
• What Trailhunter and TRD Pro owners should verify before installing

Always confirm that your kit includes the current hardware and follow SXTH Element’s latest installation and torque instructions for your specific Tacoma configuration.
